INTRO MINGLE: BOUNTIFUL BUFFET
	NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
	New arrivals will continue trickling in as time goes on, always arriving close enough to the Obsidian Fieldlands base camp to be spotted and shepherded back to the safety of Jubilife, or in the vicinity of a material-gathering party who can gather them up as well. Characters are given a spare set of clothes once they arrive at the village. It's usually something resembling a casualwear kimono and trousers, fitted to them specifically. OOC NOTE: If your character arrived during the TDM, feel free to use that as game canon!

PLANNING PHASE
As the new arrivals begin to show up in force, the Galaxy Team's leader, Kamado, makes more and more visits to the Wallflower. Soon after, the Wallflower's chef and owner puts out a call for help: Ingredients, of all varieties, and extra hands that can prepare and cook food. It seems a big buffet is in the works - and the whole village is invited! OOC NOTES: ❧ The in game length of the gathering, prep, and meal phases totals 4 days, but feel free to thread well beyond that. ❧ Wildcards and additional prompts are absolutely encouraged here! ❧ Characters who arrived during the TDM may consider those threads canonical to the game if they wish. ❧ Have fun!

	GATHERING PHASE (DAYS 1-3)
	The request goes out in the early morning on Friday: Ingredients! Food items! As much as you can carry! The reward, the green haired maestro of cooking assures you, will come in time. Though if you can’t be convinced to work for free, he’ll turn over some coin with minimal grumpy mumbling. The ingredients he’s looking for are all easy to locate in the Obsidian Fieldlands - a variety of berries, the ever sweet combs of Dazzling Honey, and the savory Springy Mushrooms that grow at the bases of trees. There are other herbs and plants on the list as well, so feel free to make some up as you go. The largest barrier to progress is the Combee that guard their precious honey and the Paras that hoard the mushrooms, guarding them fiercely. Whether you choose to sneak in, grab your goods, and sneak out, or do battle with these boisterous pokémon is up to you.

MEAL PREP PHASE (DAYS 3-4)
As loath as he is to admit that he needs help, Beni is allowing folks into his kitchen to slice, dice, and sauteé in preparation for the big day! Ingredients need to be washed, sorted, prepared, and stored safely. Wood needs to be chopped for the cooking fires. New additions to the pantry are still being accepted. Whatever you can contribute helps, Beni assures everyone. If you’re feeling like there’s too many cooks in the kitchen, tables and benches need to be set up outside. The tables inside need to be washed and set up as well. Decorations are discussed - maybe some colorful lanterns or banners…?

	FEAST (DAY 4)
	When the day comes, tables and benches are set up in front of Galaxy Hall and filled to the brim with food. Rice, great big hotpots of ramen, plate after plate of mochi - potato or otherwise - and a truly incredible selection of clay pots containing quality teas, brewed fresh for the occasion. And that’s just scratching the surface! Between the Agriculture Corps tireless work on harvesting food and all the new arrivals’ hard fought spoils, the feast is truly grand. Kamado appears in front of the table just as the first guests start to draw closer to the wonderful arrangement. He gestures with a sweeping motion at the food, and bows his head respectfully. "If you eat from this table-" he says. "-then you are one of us and we welcome you to our home. We only ask that you work to put food back on our tables moving forward. That you work hard and give Jubilife, and indeed all of Hisui, your best."

GOOD OMENS (NIGHT)
After the feast, as night begins to fall over the village, characters may look up to see that in the clear starry sky, a meteor shower has begun. The shooting stars come in all colors, too, filling the night with a cheerful rainbow incandescence. Locals stop and point, the superstitious among them exclaiming that this is a good omen. A sign that things are looking up. They say there’s an old legend about this sort of meteor shower - that if you make a wish on the colorful streaks in the sky, it just might come true...

i. New Kid (Days 1-2)

[ Arrival has been hard on Lillie. Once the shock wears off, once she is certain Nebby is simply not here and not...lost out in the wilds. The panic has been difficult to stuff down consistently. For now, she's simply tired, and stays in her new lodgings for the first couple of days, trying to make sense of things.

The Galaxy Team had told her she didn't have to work for her keep, that she was young and they understood if she felt it was too dangerous or difficult. But sitting on her futon, pokeball clutched in shaking hands, she isn't sure she believes them. Surely the time will come when she will be more of a burden than an asset? She has to be ready for that. Or she has to be ready to command the creature she arrived with - a Cutiefly, whom she's been calling Blossom - in the field. She's not sure she's got it in her.

So she lets the little creature out of the ball and feels her breath catch in her throat as it looks at her expectantly. Perhaps you're her roommate, or perhaps you wandered into the wrong room, but whatever your reason for being here, she doesn't seem to notice anyone enter initially and is talking softly to the creature. ]

H-Hello. Um...I just wanted to meet you properly. My name is Lillie. I hope we can be friends.

ii. Meal Prep (Days 3-4)

[ Thankfully, not every task boils down to battling. Sometimes it's enough just to ask your bee-adjacent friend to gather some honey from other bee-adjacent friends. During one of her round trips between the Fieldlands and the Wallflower, Beni has asked her to take a break and help with prep work.

Lillie isn't much of a chef, or a craftsperson, or a trainer, but she turns out to be pretty okay at sorting and washing ingredients. You can find her hard at work in the kitchen, extracting honey from combs and sorting it into perfectly portioned tiny ceramic jars. She's been told they'll be serving tea, so she takes it upon herself to portion out the leaves for when the pots are ready, and to clean the cups that will be used. But boy there sure are a lot of cups and boy there sure is a lot of honey and if she looks frazzled and sticky it's because she is frazzled and her hands are super sticky. She sure would welcome a helping hand, or at least some conversation. ]

iii. Feast (Day 4)

[ When the time comes for eating, Lillie can't lie - she's hungry and tired from all the prep work and walking between the Combee hives and the village. She finds a place near the edge of one of the outside seating areas and takes only a small bit of mochi and rice, and a small cup of tea. It's painfully apparent she feels awkward about taking food others have made without paying in some way. After all, even Commander Kamado said that they'd be expected to put food back on the table, and Lillie knew she had no concrete skills for that.

But if you're looking for a quiet place to sit, near Lillie is probably a good bet. Besides, she looks oddly sad for being at a celebration. Perhaps you can cheer her up? ]

iv. Good Omens (Night 4)

[ As night begins to fall, so do the stars. Beautiful, colorful streaks across a jet black sky. Lillie stares up at them in awe and wonder and immediately rattles off a wish in her mind for each color she sees. Wishes for Nebby, and Professor Kukui and his kind wife, and even one for herself and her safety here in Hisui. When she's done, she turns to the nearest person with an excited smile. ]

Did you make a wish? They say each color can grant one wish...

v. Wildcard

[Yuga's not much of a chef either so the young boy's been setting up tables and decorations for the big event. However, after an hour or so, he comes inside because ~~he's gotten bored~~ he's tired of lugging chairs and tables around. He was thinking of telling Beni he was done and going off to work on a new invention. Surely, he would be more useful in figuring out how to warp iron ore as opposed to struggling and moving furniture.

But instead of Beni he finds Lillie, her hands covered in honey. Yuga frowns as he looks at Lillie's troubled face and finds himself coming over.]

Looks like there are more jars than people here. Are you doing all of this by yourself? Need a hand?

[ Oh no is it that obvious? Lillie thinks, startling at the sound of another voice. She laughs nervously, scraping some of the honey from her hands into the jar she's working with. Like she does have a wooden spoon but honey gets EVERYWHERE is what she's learning. ]

Oh that would be lovely - er, if you don't mind? I'd hate to trouble you, especially after all the hard work you've done so far.

[ That's right, she's seen Yuga out there doing the lifting work she's too small to even attempt. And she appreciates him for it. ]

[Yuga may not have a lot of stamina but he's strong in small bursts for things like lifting or shoving ~~or holding back a hurdling chunk of space debris~~. He's done a lot of that stuff in the Road Lab when he wants to tinker on something big.

The boy grins up at Lillie and rolls up his baggy sleeves. He picks up another wooden spoon and picks up a honeycomb.]

It's no problem! We're all here to help each other out, neh? And I like doing delicate work anyway. It's pretty fun.

[ There's so much going on at first that Yuzu only notices Lillie off to the side when Ruri notices her and mentions it. Noticing the girl looking oddly sad, she comes over with her own plate. ]

Hey, Lillie! Mind if I sit here?

[ She comes over with a smile. Even if Lillie couldn't hear any of them, all of the girls in Yuzu's head have taken to her and started thinking of her fondly... though Serena thinks she's too wimpy. ]

Oh, of course! Hello...Yuzu? [ She's still getting used to the colors. ] And Ruri, Rin, and Serena, correct?

[ She looks up and smiles, though the joy doesn't reach her eyes. There's a lot on her mind right now. ]

[ Well, fortunately she doesn't need to worry about the colors just yet... she still can't switch just yet. At the very least, Lillie should have enough time to remember that Pink = Yuzu. ]

Yep! They say hi, by the way.

[ It's true, though Serena was a little quieter about it. That being said, she does notice the lack of joy in her eyes as she sits next to her. ]

...is something wrong?

Oh, it's nothing to trouble yourself with, really! I'm just concerned about people back home, and about... [ She looks down at her food. ] ...what Commander Kamado said. About putting food back on the table.

I'm not very good at anything in particular, after all.

Ah...

[ Yeah, she gets being concerned about people back home... and there's probably not a lot to be done about that at the moment, but... putting food back on the table, huh? ]

Don't say that! I'm sure there are still ways for you to help out.
