GAME OPEN - INTRO MINGLE
| INTRO MINGLE: BOUNTIFUL BUFFET | ||
![]() | NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
New arrivals will continue trickling in as time goes on, always arriving close enough to the Obsidian Fieldlands base camp to be spotted and shepherded back to the safety of Jubilife, or in the vicinity of a material-gathering party who can gather them up as well. Characters are given a spare set of clothes once they arrive at the village. It's usually something resembling a casualwear kimono and trousers, fitted to them specifically.

| PLANNING PHASE | ![]() | |
| As the new arrivals begin to show up in force, the Galaxy Team's leader, Kamado, makes more and more visits to the Wallflower. Soon after, the Wallflower's chef and owner puts out a call for help: Ingredients, of all varieties, and extra hands that can prepare and cook food. It seems a big buffet is in the works - and the whole village is invited! OOC NOTES: ❧ The in game length of the gathering, prep, and meal phases totals 4 days, but feel free to thread well beyond that. ❧ Wildcards and additional prompts are absolutely encouraged here! ❧ Characters who arrived during the TDM may consider those threads canonical to the game if they wish. ❧ Have fun! | ||

![]() | GATHERING PHASE (DAYS 1-3)
The request goes out in the early morning on Friday: Ingredients! Food items! As much as you can carry! The reward, the green haired maestro of cooking assures you, will come in time. Though if you can’t be convinced to work for free, he’ll turn over some coin with minimal grumpy mumbling. The ingredients he’s looking for are all easy to locate in the Obsidian Fieldlands - a variety of berries, the ever sweet combs of Dazzling Honey, and the savory Springy Mushrooms that grow at the bases of trees. There are other herbs and plants on the list as well, so feel free to make some up as you go.

| MEAL PREP PHASE (DAYS 3-4) | ![]() | |
| As loath as he is to admit that he needs help, Beni is allowing folks into his kitchen to slice, dice, and sauteé in preparation for the big day! Ingredients need to be washed, sorted, prepared, and stored safely. Wood needs to be chopped for the cooking fires. New additions to the pantry are still being accepted. Whatever you can contribute helps, Beni assures everyone. If you’re feeling like there’s too many cooks in the kitchen, tables and benches need to be set up outside. The tables inside need to be washed and set up as well. Decorations are discussed - maybe some colorful lanterns or banners…? | ||

![]() | FEAST (DAY 4) | |
When the day comes, tables and benches are set up in front of Galaxy Hall and filled to the brim with food. Rice, great big hotpots of ramen, plate after plate of mochi - potato or otherwise - and a truly incredible selection of clay pots containing quality teas, brewed fresh for the occasion. And that’s just scratching the surface! Between the Agriculture Corps tireless work on harvesting food and all the new arrivals’ hard fought spoils, the feast is truly grand.

| GOOD OMENS (NIGHT) | ![]() | |
| After the feast, as night begins to fall over the village, characters may look up to see that in the clear starry sky, a meteor shower has begun. The shooting stars come in all colors, too, filling the night with a cheerful rainbow incandescence. Locals stop and point, the superstitious among them exclaiming that this is a good omen. A sign that things are looking up. They say there’s an old legend about this sort of meteor shower - that if you make a wish on the colorful streaks in the sky, it just might come true... | ||

Emporio Alniño | JJBA: Stone Ocean | AMNESIA CHILD (Prompts Below)
NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK/DAY 1 (Prompts Underlined)
(Maybe he actually did go to medical. Maybe someone will visit him there first.)
As it stands the boy wakes up relatively quick- despite all appearances, it's as if he was already well on the way to recovery. Unfortunately, he can't say what caused the injury to begin with.
(Guesses are Pokémon. He claims he doesn't know what those are.)
In fact, beyond his name- with hesitance- he doesn't seem to know anything at all.
(Which to be fair, might be a good reason to not know what a Pokémon is.)
There's not much to be done beyond that however. And he looks about the age of someone useful, maybe. Probably. It's up for debate. Discussion. He had a pokéball to begin with, there's a pokemon in it-
(A good amount of time after being shown his current- temporary?- room, is spent staring at it in confusion. Roommates or people coming to the wrong room will definitely see that.)
In the end he's just...lost, really. Peering quietly around a doorframe or a wall in borrowed clothes, a pokeball tucked quietly inside his shirt.
Could be anywhere really. Wherever it is he's trying- to relative success- to not be seen.
Wrong room!
They roll up behind him, mindful enough of the fact that him being injured might mean he's extra skittish at the moment, and decide to try to initiate some kind of conversation. And to maybe jolt him out of whatever stupor has him blocking the door.
"This is it, eh?"
They've stayed in worse places, of course, but given the grandeur of HQ these rooms seem a lot...less. If only Reach knew that most of the houses in the village look just like this.
no subject
"-aAH-!" It's a small jump, at least. Just enough that he moves out of the way and anxiously nods. He can't even say why he's so nervous, honestly. He just...is? Is.
"I...guess? ...it feels like...a lot somehow," he admits, looking away. "...There's somewhere to cook food, sleep... ...I know that sounds like it's simple, but I just didn't expect it..."
no subject
"Friend, I'm probably the last person you should fret over expectations for. That aside, though, you seem pretty awfully out of sorts about it. You have bad history with, ehh..." What should they say?? "Amenities?"
no subject
"....I don't think so...?" It's not really an answer anyone typically gives. "...I've been having a lot of problems with memory since I...woke up..." the boy admits, his voice growing quieter and quieter as he goes. "I can get certain ideas of things...it's like muscle memory, I know what some things are...but there's nothing... ...clear."
no subject
Yeah, that makes about as much sense to Reach as the stuff they've heard certain unlucky folk spewing after taking an unplanned trip into Dreamspace. Which is to say none at all. They're still under the impression this is where they're meant to live, though, so best to at least make an attempt at patience, right?
"Maybe where you're from's not so hospitable, then? I imagine it'd be jarring with amnesia in the mix."
no subject
"Not having everything... ...that wouldn't mean people weren't taken care of, right?"
There...had to have been someone who looked after him, right? So even if the amenities were unfamiliar, there had to have been...a person, anyone...right?
no subject
They do feel for him, in the round-about far-away way they feel for most souls, anyway. The life Reach lived before they died was even less than they described most of the time, even if it was free from the nightmares that plague their counterparts beyond the veil. That life feels no closer than Emporio's, but there's still some spark of sympathy in it, blinking back a familiar pattern to what they imagine might be his.
"Might be jarring, but y'know..."
no subject
He buries it.
He doesn't know why the feeling is there to begin with. So he just looks back through the dorm. "..Yeah. I guess, the fact that it's a good thing doesn't change in the end...especially if I can't remember anything better! Getting used to something like this...that just means it's a good thing," Emporio determines aloud, as if to reassure himself while he inspects the hearth and what hangs over it.
"...I might have to ask someone for help with this though..."
no subject
As for the hearth...they take a look at it themself, privately relieved to be moving away from difficult rationalizing for a bit. "You 'n' me both. I've seen somethin' like this before, but line me right up if I remember how it works."
no subject
Inspecting it at least gets some good ideas on what it takes at least. "The fire is definitely straight forward...but can we only cook soups in this then..?" he wonders aloud, looking over the pot. "To handle anything without liquid, we'd need some sort of grill..."
You needed a doctor? :3c
She rushes to Emporio's side and catches sight of his lip, first. ]
You there! [ She calls to a medical attendant. ] I need a clean cloth and a bowl with some salt water, quickly.
[ She smiles softly at the child as soon as she's done ordering the poor nurse around. There's a time for patience and a time for patients. Today it's time for patients. ]
We'll get you cleaned up and comfortable soon, okay? Do you have a name?
heeee
But perhaps that dazed state works in everyone's favor- a fully conscious, fully aware Emporio would be stock still. Inwardly questioning of where he was, of who he was talking to, and thinking of any way to get out. Instead, his frankly cloudy mind manages to comprehend that wherever he is, it's somewhere soft, and warm- something that as someone who's never experienced a bed, even in prior memory, is almost a foreign feeling. The bed is only a medical cot of course- but it's something, and that's enough security to have him slowly turn his eyes toward Mercy's voice.
He can make out the blond- the worry, and the light in the room. His eyes are still strained, but at the very least those things strike in his mind the feeling that he needs to answer. It's alright to. It's...]
E...Emporio... [he manages, slowly closing and reopening his eyes.] ...my name is Emporio...
no subject
[ It's hard. Young patients can panic easily. But seeing him closer she notes that the split lip is really just the ugliest thing. Everything else is mud and dried blood. Superficial scrapes. Shock. A lot of shock. It seems like he's been through an ordeal of some kind, even beyond falling out of the sky, but she focuses on the here and now. ]
You are in shock, but you are okay. Let's clean up your lip and get you a warm blanket, alright?
no subject
The boy nods, not really moving too much more. The more his vision clears with wakefulness, the more he's trying to just see where exactly he is. Nothing seems familiar- nothing feels familiar either. Really, he's unsure what familiar would entail...but that's probably nothing.]
...o...Okay.
no subject
The lip isn't bleeding profusely, but she doesn't want it to get infected so she focuses on it first. A cloth dipped in cool salt water will have to suffice in place of proper disinfectants. ]
This may sting a little bit, but it will make you feel better in the long run. I'll have to hold it here just until it stops bleeding.
[ She does take her free hand and smudge some of the blood and grime away from his cheek, hoping to let him see more clearly. It pains her to see anyone in such a state, but especially a child. ]
no subject
His hands grip the blanket for but a moment, but the sting of the salt water quickly passes- eyes remain closed while they're being wiped at, but slowly open as he looks at the room again.]
...
where... ...where is this..? [He manages, hesitantly asking further.] ...How did I get here..?
no subject
[ She looks to the other staff, silently asking for an answer, but they're mostly busy with their own patients. One does stop to say "Jubilife Village" but that hardly answers anything for her. She hasn't had a chance to ask many questions. ]
This place is called Jubilife Village. I'm new here, too.
no subject
He can't help but feel some pang of suspicion at that- it's vague, it's nice, but it's vague- but he does at least ease up a little when she answers more clearly.
(...Though, it's weird, isn't it? Why does the doctor have to be told where...)
(...Oh. That's why.)]
New? [Is what he repeats to start- he's never heard of Jubilife, but something is starting to nag at him. There is an empty pit when he tries to think of some place else- of anywhere else, other than the place he is right now. He knows he's here, in this room, in this bed, in this 'village'.
But where else...is there?
(his head hurts-)] Gh-
[Gripping at the blanket for a moment, he winces through the pain and tries to question it-] If...if we're both new, how did we get here then..? Where...Where are you from then?
[Maybe that will help. Maybe it'll...jolt something, put something into place. ....Even if they don't know each other.
The empty pit and the headache are getting worse.]
no subject
I can't be sure why we're here, only that we are now. I came here from a small outpost on Gibraltar. Before that, I traveled to a lot of places and called them home. Egypt, most notably. Do either of those places sound familiar?
[ The signs of pain are concerning, and she worries he's been concussed. There's no obvious head trauma that she can see, but those types of injuries can be tricky to see if they dont draw blood. GOD what she wouldn't give for some equipment...
Angela reaches out to brush a strand of hair from Emporio's forehead gently. She has a lot of questions, too. She has a lot of things worrying her in this moment. Until she can get those questions answered, she's just going to have to be calm and take care of others.
It's what she knows. ]
no subject
The boy sighs, shaking his head.] ...they don't. ...I...
...I can't think of anything...at all, [he admits more quietly, turning his gaze down.] ...Not even where I.. ...Where I should be, or should've been...
[His voice shakes as he continues on.] That...
...That's not good, is it..?
no subject
Can you tell me - are you in any pain?
[ She'll start there. Is there any discomfort. Can she fix that. ]
no subject
[There is seemingly nothing hidden by the hat at least, though the hat does seem remarkably undamaged. In fact, all of his clothes- a baseball uniform it looks like- seem pretty untouched for someone who was carried in from the wild.] ...I guess a little..? It stings a little where I think there's scrapes, but my head only hurt for a moment...
[Of course, the only way they'll really know for sure that things aren't going to get worse is by keeping an eye on the boy- head trauma is a sneaky thing sometimes.]
