	Spring Festivities
	As April rolls in, the stormy season of Hisui is starting to die down into simple, lighter rains. March comes in like a Pyroar, and goes out like a Wooloo, as they say in some regions. Sunny days mostly outnumber the rainy ones, bringing a general sense of cheerfulness to the village. In an effort to blend traditions from all backgrounds, locals are sharing the ways they celebrate with the new arrivals from the rifts. Ask anyone native to the area and they'll be happy to show you how to make flower crafts, good luck charms, and local delicacies. They'll encourage you to make and share your own traditions. It's the time for new things - the locals will exclaim - try something you've never done!

Charmed, I'm Sure
Particularly popular is the exchange of small charms for luck, strong bonds, and love. Locals will be happy to sell, make, or share the recipes for these charms, as well as explain their meanings. Lucky Charm: A small clover-shaped charm said to bring good luck to anyone who possesses it. Gifted as a sign that you're thinking about someone, and hope they're doing well. Bonding Charm: A knot-shaped charm said to encourage strong bonds of kinship. Give one to a stranger you wish you knew to begin a lasting friendship. Memory Charm: A sakura flower-shaped charm that is said to carry the memories of those you love and those who love you. Give it to someone you care about, platonically or otherwise, to remind them they are loved. And feel free to make your own charms as well! Warding charms, strength charms, charms with peculiar blessings specific to the person gifting them - the world is your oyster.

	Egg Hunt
	On a more biological note, this is also the time of new life - and that means pokémon eggs. Lots of them. All throughout the deepest reaches of the Obsidian Fieldlands, one can find nests, abandoned eggs, and baby pokemon fresh from the shells. It would be cute if it didn't mean that other pokemon in the area are also getting more aggressive to defend their young. Stay on your toes as you travel! The Survey Corps thought it would be a great idea to bring some of the eggs back to the Fieldlands base camp for study, but now that they're on the verge of hatching and need new homes, this plan has a…flaw. They're giving 1 egg to anyone interested in raising their own pokémon, though there's no guarantee of what you'll get. OOC: There will be an egg claim top level below. Comment there to receive 1 completely random pokemon from the pool of available starters, with the potential for a hidden ability or shiny. This is basically equivalent to a 3 pt. RNG pull from the rewards page, just for free as a spring treat. Limited to 1 per character. Event pokemon do not count towards your cap of 5 per month.

Yuzu just happened to be surveying nearby, and thank god she was?? By some miracle, Emporio has remained still enough that even after breaking free from the Pokeball, this Alpha Rapidash has yet to see him.

She can only wonder how long that'll last. ]

Holy shi—

...welp, he's screwed.

[ Neither of them are dumb enough to immediately run out there, but they obviously need to help somehow!

She's also very fortunately hidden, racking her brain to try and come up with a solution while the giant fire horse eyes the area around where Emporio is suspiciously. ]

[Well, the rapidash is trotting around, still definitely looking toward where it's SURE something came from, if it could only SEE what the HECK came from those bushes, GOSH.

It just sort of.

Keeps watching.

If Yuzu makes her way quietly over while in the grass, she'll see that Emporio seems to have just. Entered a complete state of quiet zen, or perhaps utter terror, eyes practically glazed as they stare upward.

[ Well, at the very least, he's hidden well... and with so little movement, with any luck that Rapidash will simply move on.

...potentially in his direction, which would get him killed, no matter how still he is. All it takes is for this Rapidash to take a few steps in his direction to try and get a better look—ohhh god that's exactly what that horse is doing. Shit.

Yeah, she no longer thinks that Emporio in all of his quiet zen/utter terror is gonna keep him alive. At least, not for much longer. She could send out a Pokemon to distract, or... ]

Please work...

[ She has no idea what most of these berries do but she pulls out an Oran Berry... Pokemon like these, right? So... she lobs one over to a space behind the Rapidash.

Please walk in the direction of the berry instead of the small boy, oh massive fire horse. ]

[There is a tense few moments- the berry rolls softly across the ground, scent wafting into the air for the pokemon around it. A few of the firehorses take notice- but the rapidash does, in fact, turn.

And walks slowly toward it...

...And finally, mercifully, bends their head down to scoop it from the ground.

...

Success?]

[ Oh thank god.

She has one more on her, so she'll toss it just a little further away and start to slowly creep toward Emporio. Time to go, now??

Or at least, that's the plan... until a gust of wind comes through just as Yuzu tosses the Oran Berry and... ]

Bonk!

[ Now it's Yuzu's turn to have her face turn completely pale. The Rapidash immediately swerves, now looking directly at Yuzu.

No amount of stillness in the world could have saved Yuzu at this point. ]

[Emporio was about to get up.

And then.

The rapidash rears, and gives an echoing whinny. Hooves stamp the ground, and fire blazes from their mouth.]

.....Uhhhhhhhh...

[HEY YUZU???]

What just happened..?

[They should really Run.]

Uh oh...

[ The whinny alone is enough to knock Yuzu back a bit, falling to the ground... and immediately scrambling back to her feet as the Rapidash starts to run directly at her...! ]

wHYYYYY!!!?

[ She lunges and rolls out of the way, just barely avoiding the incoming Flame Charge. Not to self, berries are useful... just make sure you don't hit a Pokemon with it.

Well... at the very least... the Rapidash is very distracted now?? ]

RUN!!

[ Something that she herself should also do, but also Emporio. Especially Emporio. ]

HA-HAHHHHH..!!

[He doesn't have to be told twice. They're running as fast as possible, and Emporio points toward a particular direction as he shouts.] It-

It should only be starly in that direction..!! Let's go..!!

WHY IS IT SO ANGRYYYYY...!?

[ The second time! This is the second time she's had to run from this fire horse! Why does this keep happening!? In any case, she's immediately running as fast as possible too, following the direction that Emporio suggested.

Though they were evidently still in what this Rapidash considered their territory, because once they skid to a halt, the Rapidash is back to charging at them from behind. ]
